My cat and I are having words about which portion of the desk he can take over.

He likes the keyboard. I DO NOT APPROVE.

Girlcat has calmed down. She sniffed all over the apartment, and while she’s not calm enough to approach me (and quite frankly, that’s never really been her style all that much), she let me pet her. She started purring.

She just jumped on my bed, which is her favorite place to be when I’m using my laptop so now I can believe she’s acting like herself.

Now I feel like I can calm down.

One of my cats got out of the apartment because of my roommate. There is one window with a loose screen. I have told him never to open it because of the cats. Today, he opened it and there was a bookcase underneath it. Girlcat got outside.

She’s back in now, to make a long story very short. I’m still shaking and still freaked out, and so is she. I don’t know how long she was out there because I wasn’t home when she got out. I just noticed that she didn’t appear when I came home and she ALWAYS appears when I come home and feed her.

God, I could kill my roommate. I am so glad he’s leaving forever in a week.

I still can’t believe he opened that window.

Girlcat doesn’t seem to remember me anymore and she hisses if I come too close. I’m going to give her a lot of space but, does anyone else have experience with this? What should I do?
